Day 1

We begin our unusual tour of London with a truly unique place 

The Leake Street Tunnel. This 300-meter tunnel is located beneath Waterloo station and has been transformed into a massive urban art gallery. Every inch of the walls is covered in graffiti, murals, and art installations. It’s a perfect place to take some breathtaking photos and immerse yourself in London’s street art.

After visiting the Leake Street Tunnel, we head to the Sherlock Holmes Museum. This museum, located in the home of Sherlock Holmes on Baker Street, is a must-visit for all fans of the world’s most famous detective. The house has been reconstructed to look exactly as the author, Arthur Conan Doyle, would have imagined it and offers a unique insight into the life of Holmes and his faithful assistant Watson.

For lunch, we head to Camden Market, where we’ll find food from all over the world. You can find ethnic cuisines and street food of all kinds, from French crepes to Mexican tacos. Camden Market is also a great place to shop, with a wide selection of vintage clothing and accessories.

During the afternoon, we head to the Tower of London, one of the city’s most famous attractions. In addition to visiting the tower, we can participate in one of the periodic evening guided tours. In this guided tour, you can explore the secrets of the Tower of London and discover both frightening and fascinating stories about its history.

Day 2

Starting off the second day our unusual tour of London, we discover one of the quirkiest places in London – Little Venice. This area of London is characterized by a series of intersecting canals that form a small “Venice” in the heart of the city. You can rent boats or take a boat tour to discover the picturesque houseboats and ancient warehouses along the canal.

After a stroll in Little Venice, we head to St. Pancras Old Church. This church dates back to at least the 9th century and is one of the oldest churches in London. Here, you can admire some of the oldest tombs in the city, including that of Sir John Soane, the architect of the Bank of England.

For lunch, we head to Borough Market. This market, located near the London Bridge, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. Here you can find local producers, butchers, fishmongers, and bakeries selling fresh and high-quality products. The market also offers a wide selection of ready-to-eat foods, such as sandwiches with cured meats, cheeses, and other delicacies. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste a slice of cake or a cupcake from the local pastry shops.

In the afternoon, we head to a somewhat unusual place: the Design Museum.

This museum is located in Kensington and houses a vast collection of design objects, from fashion to automobiles. Here, you can see some of the most famous works by designers such as Paul Smith and Alexander McQueen. The museum is also famous for its collection of graphic design, which includes movie posters and book covers.

To conclude the evening, we head to the Soho district, famous for its nightlife. Here, you can find many bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The Soho district is also famous for its theaters and shows, so if you’re interested in culture and entertainment, this is the right place for you.

Day 3

We start the last day of our tour with a very unique place: the House of Dreams. This house is located in Dulwich and has been transformed into an outsider art museum. Artist Stephen Wright has decorated every inch of the house with strange, curious, and bizarre objects, creating a surreal and fascinating environment. The House of Dreams is only open on selected dates, so be sure to check before going.

After visiting the House of Dreams, we head to the Portobello Road market. This market is famous all over the world for its antique and vintage stalls. Here, you can find all kinds of objects, from old typewriters to vintage suitcases. The market is also a great place to buy vintage clothing and accessories.

For lunch, we head to the Shoreditch district. Here, you can find some of the best street food in London, from Turkish kebabs to English fish and chips. The district is also famous for its art galleries and street art, with works by artists like Banksy and Stik.

In the afternoon, we head to Highgate Cemetery. This Victorian cemetery is one of the largest and most impressive in London, with imposing tombs and ancient crypts. Here, you can admire some of the city’s most famous graves, including that of philosopher Karl Marx. Highgate Cemetery is also famous for its ghost stories and for the periodic evening guided tours that are organized.

To conclude our tour of London among curious places, I recommend taking a ride on the London Eye.

One of the city’s most famous tourist attractions, this large Ferris wheel offers breathtaking views of the city. The ride lasts about half an hour, so I suggest booking in advance to avoid long queues.
